Type Face Door DetailA detail of the doors from the Worcester Public Library from 1964-1977, on display at the current library. From the commemorative plaque:

The overall design of the doors was made by graphic designer Leslie Segal of New York, using proofs made from antique wooden type faces that are now in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution. These unusual type faces represent a high point in the craft of typography and illustrate over fifty styles of type.
