Old: Crowd Surfer

Crowd Surfer

This photo taken back in November of 1995 (according to the stamp on the Kodachrome 64 cardboard slide mount) is from a Sixpence None the Richer concert before anyone had ever heard of them. Seconds after I took this picture, the girl in the photo was dropped on her head and knocked unconscious. The concert was halted as the medical crews came in, and Leigh Nash and company were so upset that they couldn’t go on. The crowd surfer made a full recovery. This photo from my earliest days of photography remains one of my favorites, and the fact that it was taken on Kodachrome 64 makes it even more special to me.

I remember when you were shooting only Slide Film…and then you went to digital. Now you just need to digitize all of your slides!
