Immigrants

Imigrants at the Mayflower II

After living in Massachusetts for nearly eight years, we finally went to see Plymouth Rock and the replica of the Mayflower. It was fun to hear many different languages being spoken by the other tourists. I had to smile when I saw these Chinese-speaking visitors taking pictures at the Mayflower II—a reminder that all of us are immigrants to this country, whether our ancestors walked, sailed, or flew here.

After working with ESL students this year this picture and your comment hold a special meaning. This country holds so much opportunity- why not share it?
